Mike explains a change that affects mini skid steer attachment supply. Rippa has stopped shipping attachments DDP (delivered duty paid) and now ships only CIF or FOB, which means the buyer handles the import steps. Because of that, he arranged to source mini skid steer attachments from another manufacturer instead.
WHAT IT MEANS FOR BUYERS
- The new attachments use a Dingo-style quick-attach plate, an open standard used by most of the industry. Mike notes that many Bobcat owners also swap to a Dingo plate.
- A first order of attachments was placed with an 8 to 10 week ocean transit, followed by more.
- The goal was to have the most popular attachments in stock at our Boyd, Texas dealership, with as many as about 40 types available.
