A customer showed us a simple modification, and Mike shows how it works: adding small springs under the pilot controls on a Rippa excavator.
WHAT IT DOES
The springs add resistance to the pilot controls, which gives you finer control when you are doing delicate work.
HOW TO INSTALL
- Lift the control plate and bend it over.
- Slide a spring onto each of the four posts on each side.
- It takes about five minutes.
- The kits are inexpensive, about $11 to $13 for a pack, and the link is on our website's support and service pages.
FIT
- It works on the R15 and larger.
- It does not work on the R10, which has a different plate inside.
- The dealership plans to install the springs on every excavator that comes in.
