At the Rippa factory, Mike gets a first look at the first two redesigned RS10 sit-in, full-size skid steers, still under assembly. They use Kubota diesel engines, and the first units will be wheeled, with a different tracked version to follow.
At this stage the engine, pump and part of the exhaust system are installed, and the factory was still working on the exhaust area before mounting the cab. Mike notes the factory is changing the design as it goes, going back to CAD and cutting new steel. He also says the smaller RS07 is too small for him to sit in comfortably, while this one will fit a bigger operator.
Mike expects it could become Rippa's best-selling skid steer if the price stays close to the older version. Pricing for the new version wasn't known when he filmed.
