Owners often say nobody will help them with parts or with a machine that won't run. Mike and Jake explain two ways Rippa USA Sales helps.
1. PARTS HELP
- Get in touch with us (we're a dealer just outside Fort Worth) and we will track down the part. Send a photo of the machine's data plate so we have the serial number and exact model, since there are different versions of each machine.
- We check with the factory, then give you two options: air freight (about 3 to 10 days) or surface shipping (about a third of the cost, around 3 to 6 weeks).
- Pay through our online payment link, by check or by bank wire. If the part is no charge, there may be a small handling fee.
2. TELE-MECHANIC VIDEO SERVICE
- Book a time on our website's service appointment page (under Company Information) and we'll connect by FaceTime, Facebook Messenger, WebEx or whatever works for you, so we can see your machine and you can see ours.
- We guide you through diagnosis and keep it short, generally about 15 minutes, to respect your money. The video discusses a $135 per hour rate, well below typical local shop rates. Call us to confirm the current rate.
- If we can't solve it, we bring in Rippa's technical staff and keep working with you until the part is identified, and we can walk you through removing and installing it.
- Example: an R15 owner whose machine wouldn't start after sitting. A phone call narrowed it to the fuel pump, and a video call would have been faster still.
Note that the factory is about 14 hours ahead of Texas, so back-and-forth on parts takes a day or so per round.
