Rippa FAQ List

1) Why Rippa? Well that’s easy. High quality, the best engine to run the equipment, sold by a Dealer that cares.

2) What do you mean ‘Dealer that cares’? We want to spend as much time as needed going over your questions so that you pick the right machine. We probably get two or three calls a day that they are not going to buy from us for different reasons by we still are on the phone talking with them to give them as much information as we can. Then when its time to sell equipment, before delivery, we go over the machine checking fluid levels, bolt torque and anything else so that you don’t have to mess with the machine until its time for the initial service.

3) Does your dealership perform service? We have contracted maintainable to be performed by a company out of Weatherford for both the hydraulic and Kubota engine side. We had a mini excavator that had a fluid leak and they come in and had it diagnosed within 10 minutes and repaired and fully operational in less than three hours.

4) How does the warranty work? For starters, you have an end to end warranty by Rippa that we help with. Depending on the product, skid steers have a one year warranty and the Rippa Pro Mini Excavators like the R22, R32, R57, have a three year warranty. Then, with your bill of sale, your local Kubota service center will honor the warranty and again, depending on which Kubota engine, you can buy extended warranties thru them. So you have lots of options.

5) How does ordering work? You have two options, buy what we have in stock or place a 30% deposit to lock equipment so that when it arrives, it’s yours. After we go thru the machine and it’s ready for delivery, you pay the balance prior to pickup. We take cash, bank wire, personal check. All funds must be cleared with our bank before a machine is delivered. Additionally, if we pick up or deliver a machine inside Texas, unless you have a tax exemption, we are requires to collect 8.25% sales tax.

6) If we place an order and leave a deposit, how long does it take to get the equipment? Typically it’s never more than two to three weeks as the warehouse in Houston is generally kept stocked. The two exceptions is the R82 and larger excavators. These are built to order and take three weeks to be built, then about seven weeks to ship to the US. The other exception is attachments. Until the newest Rippa factory comes online in Jining, China, that is dedicated to attachments, it can take six to eight weeks. Excavator attachments are generally in stock in Houston or the Virginia warehouse. Skid steer/mini skid steer attachments seem to be taking longer at this time.

More than likely we already have equipment on the way so it should be less than eight weeks. If it will take longer than two weeks, we will be communicating with you on the specific time line. One reason we switched from another manufacturer was the long time from order placement to order delivery taking five to six months.

7) Should we drain the oil or hydraulic fluid when we get the machine? The engine break in is 10 hours. If you’re going to use it hard during that time then yes, drain both fluids. However most customers are doing general tasks while they get used to the machine so no need. Just remember the initial break in fluid dump / filter change is 10 hours. This is very important.
